Cabin Fever anyone?
So it's a official. I have cabin fever. Caleb and I have lived in Utah now for one year and 20 days. Not only is this the longest we have lived in one place but we haven't left the country in one year and one week. I am the type that likes change and I have a short attention span so it helps when my surroundings change every so often so I don't go crazy. But it's happened. I have CABIN FEVER. What to do? First and foremost I need to address my wonderful job that I absolutely LOVE! and our great apartment (where my bestest friend lives) and Caleb is going to his favorite school BYU. BUT really what to do???? We have at least 1.5 years left here (but whose counting). And we really want to go to PERU! So in order to do that we are not going on any "filler" trips and are saving up to do exactly what we want in Peru. But still that will be months away... meaning that we will be here in utah. Now in my previous life I watched the Shinning and I know what happens to people with cabin fever, so what's a girl to do? I certainly don't want to have a bad case of "all work and no play makes Kendra ..." So any suggestions would greatly be appreciated. I also thought of setting up a small fund at wamu for any out there that are concerned and would like to help out. Cash donations are appreciated and it will be in the name of " save Kendra from Cabin Fever '09".

Kendra-thank you for yoru comments and the offer for a jamba. Honestly, I think I'm all juiced out, so I will have to take a rain check on that one. Maybe next dental horror? As far as cabin fever and a tight budget=I recommend bed band breakfasts for the weekend. There are some really good priced ones around in little quaint towns like Manti and such that are fun weekend get aways because sometimes you just gotta get away from the bubble but you don't have time/or money to do it. Hope that helps! :)
I feel the same. Getting out of the bubble is a must! I know you said you aren't taking filler trips because you're saving for Peru, but lets go down to St. George! Phillip's grandparents have a condo down there and we can go over a weekend or something.
ps. I havent seen you in forever...we need to coordinate our "sick/stay home from church" days :)
Kendra, I love you! And I love the way you write. I must say I agree and feel exactly the same way. In fact intensify it by 100 because this is my 6 yes SIXTH year here in Utah and I am SOOOO ready to get out!! But I like you have yet another entire year. Jeff will be done April 2010. We should help keep each other sane. Anyway, thanks for your thoughts, i feel the same way.
