Yellowstone Part 2

Shirley always gets love with her older girl cousins, Mattie and Khloe!
One of the pull over hikes we did. It was beautiful there!
Daddy took pman and Jared and Johnny on a row boat!
Daddy and Pman near one of the buffalo!
We made it after a challenging hike!
This was Uncle Tom's Trail, huge warning sign, it was hard(ish) but totally doable and amazing!
 Pman loving the waterfall.
 Me and my boy.
This trip was perfect for this kid. Spend all day hiking/playing outside/ getting dirty?!? Yes, Please!
This was part of Uncle Tom's Trail. Caleb is holding Shirley in the carrier and pman on his side.  He didn't do this the whole way but I had to take a picture of it!
 Super Dad!
Shirley being cute.  She was so much trouble on this trip ;)
Pman and his twin cousin Johnny!

Yellowstone Part 1 (July 2013)

This was a great Daddy and Pman bonding trip, but then again any time they are together they have a great time.
Here is Pman at the lily pond. I love lily pads and he thought this was so cool.  Whenever he was awake and we pulled over to see something he would always want to come exploring.
I am pretty sure this is black thumb or something thumb.  We had a system that worked awesome for us.  As we drove we looked for places on the map, or signs on the road and pulled over. every time. And we loved it.
We also had a rule that if cars were backed up and people were out taking pictures, one of us would jump out of the car and check it out.  It paid off when we saw a brown(or black, I don't really know the difference) bear! And it was so close!
 The Continental Divide!
I took the most unflattering picture of myself with the bear in the background. I hate love it.  I hate how I look but I love that there is a bear right behind me! It was crazy! Don't worry, I had an escape plan ready.
I can't find our map right now but we kept track of every animal we saw.  The buffalo's were in the thousands.  It was amazing.
The hubs loved it and I loved that he got a week without phone calls/emails/stress from work and was able to unplug.  I was glad for the lack of internet! ;)

This trip was really awesome.  I took a million pictures so it there are plenty more to come!

Shirley's 4th of July 2013

Oh Ms. Shirley! Here she is in her 4th of July attire.  Isn't she just a doll? I love the way she would crawl while wearing a dress/skirt! Like a stink bug with that bum in the air! She is just a doll!

Children's Parade 2013

I love Provo in the Summer.  I figure if I can't be at the beach everyday I mine as well be in Provo.  There is so much to do, so much free stuff and it's really geared around children and families.  LOVE! We did the Children's Parade again this year.  Pman rode his balance bike and took it pretty serious.  Shirley rocked the stroller...and sunglasses ;)

National Marriage Day 5k

We ran the National Marriage Day 5k in Provo at the Riverwoods.  And it was by FAR my favorite 5k I have ever done.  It was extremely small, it was it's first year. But it was so well done, organized and went off without a hitch.  I planned on running with the hubs, he was pushing the jogger but I felt like I could push it so he signaled me to go ahead.  I ran but not really hard (that's something I am working on in my running) and realized I was close to the front.  I ran behind a couple for the longest time and then when I realized how close to the finish we were I passed them! I thought I was the third girl...but I was fourth.  That seems to be my running curse.  I did win a gift card and a pearl necklace.  It was a great race and I loved it! Can't wait to do it next year!

Pman's baseball

We love Provo! Pman did the smart start Provo Baseball league.  It was a parent-child learning team so we had a blast.  Pman rocked it, he has an awesome arm, both for throwing and for hitting! Practice was twice a week for an hour and then they have a "real" game the last day.  Unfortunately, that was the day we went to Spanish Fork Reservoir with our friends and went swimming and playing and Pman fell asleep and I had to wake him up for the game.  You can see from the picture of him crying.  He didn't want anything to do with it.  Our good friends Brandi, Ryker and Harley came to watch the game! We sure miss them.  We loved exposing pman to a new sport and having fun being active!

It's about time

The other night the Hubs asked why I never blog any more.... I think blogs are kind of a thing of the past, but I actually really love them.  So I'm working on it.  I have actually set some "blog goals" to get caught up.  So even if it is just me and the hubs reading this at least it will be current.  Things are going well with this little family. We are busy.  The hubs works 70-80 hour weeks, and travels often.  The kids and I are rocking a lot of "together" time.  Porter goes to Preschool twice a week and Shirley is growing like a weed.  We had an amazing Christmas in California (once we recovered from being sick) and had the best day ever at the San Diego Zoo.  We got to see Pman be more interested in what Santa and the Reindeer ate than the gift Santa brought him! I am going to blog about: pmans surgery, Shirley growing, our road trips, pman's soccer, our adventures, and all the cute pictures I post mainly on instagram now!
