I have a sister. Her name is Kristie. I used to call her Sissy. Please don't call her Misty.
She has two kids, and never takes bids.
She is an engineer, aka she is good at math. She's probably in the bath. Some days you should really fear her wrath =)
She is a photographer. She is the best. She always beats the rest. If you would like you could put her to the test (but seriously you can. She will travel for a fee and you can see her pics below or click on her blog. She does them all...weddings, pregnancy, babies, couples, etc).
It was her birthday. So I really must say Hip Hip Hurray!

Guess who

Just ran 3 miles! Oh yeah. I did it. It was hard. It hurt so good. The first mile I had a huge grin on my face. The 2nd and 3rd not so much. But I did it. I want to give a shout out to JT and thank him for helping me out during the last little bit. "Bringing Sexy Back"was my motivation for finishing.

On another note I had a great week at work. And Porter and the hubs loved having Boy's week. Porter is great. He smiles all the time. I will be posting pictures...think graduation, baby blessing, visitors from the first few weeks and much more. (I know you've been dying right?)

I go back to work.

I may cry. Like now. Or whenever I think about it. Or when I worry Porter will forget me. Or when I worry he wont want to nurse, or I will lose my milk....I worked really hard to figure this nursing thing out and will be really ticked it I lose it all.

It's only two weeks. Ten days. I can do it. I LOVE my job. I LOVE the people I work with. I LOVE using my degree. I LOVE the skills my job provides me. I LOVE learning. I LOVE the kids I work with (most of the time =). I LOVE staying sharp and contributing to the world.

BUT... Porter's still so small. He's only 6 weeks. I'm still so tired. And emotional. And he changes a lot so fast. And I wont get home till after 4pm. And he goes to bed around 10.

I'm nervous to say the least. Wish me luck.

One Month

Hey Party People,

It's me.. Porter. And I'm one month! Well I've been super busy so I'm a little older right now but you get the idea. Life outside the womb is pretty sweet. I've got the best Mommy and Daddy and grandma's, grandpa's and aunties and uncles and nieces and nephews. Life is awesome. I didn't cry or fuss for the first little bit because I felt so bad about my Mommy's really rough recovery and then the whole mastitis thing- I am a barracuda when it comes to eating. But now that she is all better I can cry with the best of them...like right now! I love to go on walks and pretty much any time you put me in my car seat I fall asleep. I love being held and love eating. Mornings are my time to shine! I am pretty smiley especially if I'm looking at my Mommy. I give her the biggest smiles! I'm trying to share them with Daddy. I'm growing so fast. At my two week I weighed 8lbs 15 oz and was 21 inches long. I have already out grown some clothes. I don't mind tummy time if you do it when I feel up to it and have rolled over 4 times times now. I'm starting to coo but I'm still a little shy. Anyway life is good. We are so lucky to have great family and friends that came to visit us in the hospital. We had a great stay and LOVED the food! I was so scared to leave and was ok with staying for a few more days but had to go home.

What do you do when...

Your baby is an early bird but you are a later gator???


Oh I know! Wake him in the middle of the night and feed him just so you wont have to wake up in the early morning! That's ok right???
